It was an interesting mix, young people and not-so-young people, joined by a bar, surrounded by Las Vegas themed cards, pictures, glistening dollar signs and poker chips lining the tables.
The band, Acoustic Affair, who played jazz, blues, rock and swing music were a perfect match for the atmosphere. The dance floor soon came alive as young and old stepped up and swapped partners for ye old good times.
The incoming clubs president, Tracey Green, made a speech to represent just what hard work she has put in over the last 9 months to get this club started, and how glad she is to finally be recognized as an official Rotary associated chartered member. Well done Tracey!
An amazing night for those lucky enough to step into Las Vegas for the evening, amazing people who came to help. Keep an eye out here for the next Rotaract Club of Botany Manukau event!
