New Presidenta!

The Rotaract Club of Botany Manukau has a brand new president and a brand new executive team as of July the first. Our first meeting was last night, we worked out what we want to do with our year - your year. There was discussion of a newsletter being made available to advise our members of what to look forward to at each meeting, a secret rally run around the North Island, with a massive party at the end, a Quiz Night, a Professional Development Seminar, and plenty more in store. Now is the time to come along and see what you can do to
DO SOME GOOD in your community. If you're 18-30, live in the Botany Manukau area, want to make new friends, increase your networks, increase your knowledge, throw in some fellowship, and training to be tomorrow's leaders, send a txt with your name on it to Daniel on 021 369 654, or email info@bmrotaract.co.nz  . Go on. Get into it.

Stepping Stones To Success Seminar

Stepping Stones to Success

A professional development seminar organised by the Rotaract club of Botany Manukau on the 23rd of March at Ellerslie Events Centre will educate young people, ages 18-35, with skills they might not learn anywhere else.

Daniel Flack, leader of the professional development committee of the Rotaract club says “My aim is to arm young people with skills that they may not learn at uni or other institutions.”

The seminar will include speakers such as Allison Mooney, author of ‘Pushing the right buttons’, Nicola Russell, founder of ‘Kenzies Gift’, and a new comer to the professional speaking circuit, Jeremy Thomas speaking on ‘The Human Condition’.

A key component of the event is for each individual to discover more about their personality. This will be achieved through personality profiling by Allison Mooney at the event. Mr Flack believes that this seminar will be a positive influence for a range of people and businesses saying “this would be an ideal seminar if you’re an employer with a team who you would like to motivate and have a higher level of communication with.”

Club president, Tracey Green says “I support Daniel’s vision of the seminar and would definitely recommend any young people who are interested attend.”

The Rotaract Club of Botany Manukau aims to teach its members positive skills, help out at community events, and raise thousands of dollars for charity. They meet twice a month and have speakers and workshops on a regular basis to help us learn skills to better serve our community.
The Stepping Stones to Success seminar is one of many events they plan for the future.

If you’re interested in attending please contact Daniel Flack on 021369654 or you can email danielf@bmrotaract.co.nz. Tickets cost $35. If you are interested for more information on the club it please contact Tracey Green at tracey@bmrotaract.co.nz .
